Minimum System Requirements

  • Dual-core CPU or two CPUs
  • RAM: 3 GB
  • Free hard disk space: 2 GB
  • Hardware-accelerated, professional OpenGL graphics card (such as a NVIDIA Quadro FX series card) equipped with 512 MB of memory
  • 32-bit Windows XP Professional Edition

Note that these requirements are adequate if you are planning to use PolyWorks?in probing applications where measurement data volumes and CAD model sizes are relatively small (i.e., file sizes smaller than 50 MB).


Recommended System Requirements

  • Quad-core CPU or four CPUs
  • RAM: 8 GB or more
  • Free hard disk space: 2 GB or more
  • NVIDIA Quadro FX series graphics card equipped with 1 GB of GDDR3 memory or more
  • 64-bit Windows 7 Professional

Note that this configuration covers a broad range of applications by offering the performance required by larger models and amounts of data, as well as better processing capabilities. If you have doubts about the best system configuration for your type of application, contact our technical support. For example, if you use multi-gigabyte datasets, you may need more RAM.
